This last week has passed pretty quickly. Granted, since I began locking down in March the monotony and the pace of the news seems to have made most of the year fly by. I guess with that in mind the last week has stretched a bit, in comparison, probably as I've been busy with preparations and getting things in order for my departure, at work and at home.

I don't have much stuff- a couple of years ago I began to become more mindful about my consumption and started tossing or donating the detritus that has accumulated over the last decade, though I still have issues with sentimentality.

Do I really need this empty bag of Cheetos, the last snack I bought my ex before our final breakup? Probably not, but there it is in a growing box of other mementos, which to anyone else in the world would just be a box of trash.

But besides that, I try to keep things pretty slim. Last year I dialed in my "uniform" of leggings, undershirt and a long-sleeve zip-up. A few duplicates of that, a few t-shirts, and that's my clothing. Bit boring, I suppose, but practical and less wasteful.

Especially in travel mode, I generally only bring one carry-on bag, no matter the duration. Something about the freedom of carrying everything you need, and the constant reminder to leave behind everything you don't, else you're going to have to carry that weight.
