The "Mark I" prototype for the contraption I'm building finally came together, after about a month of hammering away at it. Up until this morning there was a feature I thought I would have to cut, but after hours of rewiring I discovered I just had to delete one line of code before it finally started working as intended.

Same old story.

Next step? "Mark II". The print for that is currently going now, liquid resin being solidified layer by layer. Takes about six hours to print, and a couple of hours to solder all together. Then, depending on how product testing goes, I'll have to start considering the logistics involved with a possible small-scale production run, which involves of the icky "business" stuff I'm not very good at, with just a bunch of past mistakes, "what not to do", as a guide.

In the meantime I'm working on some other project ideas that have been bouncing around my head. Probably won't be done in time for NY, but I may get a basic circuit up and running. I'm also backing up my "old" laptop. Finalized the sale today, so copying the data and wiping the disc before I send it out. That sale covers the new Macbook I replaced it with. When it comes to these new Apple Silicon M1 chips, the hype is real. I've been coding all morning and my battery is still in the 80s, and the aluminum unibody is cool to the touch. Really enjoying this thing, and my productivity has really gone up, not having to fight with Windows all the time.

So yeah, I'm enjoying my new toy and I think it was well worth the "downgrade". Not really much time for "gaming" anymore, not that I did much of that anyway.

Also started putting together my packing list for NY. Weather and fate permitting, I should be there in a bout a week.

Looking forward to some cooolllld weather :D
